This page uses ace to dynamically highlight Praat code. All highlighting is done through the ace editor, which means that the source of this page just contains pure Praat code.

Here’s a snippet:

form Highlighter test
sentence My_sentence This should all be a string
text My_text This should also all be a string
word My_word Only the first word is a string, the rest is invalid
  boolean Binary 1
  boolean Quoted "yes"
comment This should be a string
  real left_Range -123.6
  positive right_Range_max 3.3
  integer Int 4
  natural Nat 4
endform

This paragraph is between the code, to maybe illustrate a specific part of the script. The code can then resume from where we left off by specifying the start line number, in this case using the data-start attribute.

include /path/to/file
runScript: "/path/to/file"
execute /path/to/file

And here is a much longer snippet of code, to show automatic scrolling.

By the way: ace is a text editor, and all the highlighted snippets are instances of that editor. This means that all those fields are editable. Go on. Try.

Praat is available as an ace language mode starting from ace 1.1.6. Other available editor highlighters are listed below:
